Established in 1954, Far East Furniture (FEFCO) has been dedicated to the craft of fine hardwood furniture for over seven decades. From its beginnings, the brand has remained deeply rooted in traditional woodworking principles, guided by a belief that furniture should be built with integrity, patience, and respect for materials.
FEFCO draws from classical Chinese furniture traditions, where structure, proportion, and craftsmanship take precedence over ornamentation alone. By preserving time-honoured techniques such as mortise-and-tenon joinery, hand carving, and natural lacquer finishing, each piece is constructed to endure both daily use and the passage of time.
Today, FEFCO continues its journey in Singapore, creating furniture suited for contemporary living spaces while remaining faithful to traditional craftsmanship. Craftsmanship Heritage
The core characteristic of FEFCO lies in what we call “unseen craftsmanship”. All furniture is built using authentic mortise-and-tenon structures, without nails or shortcuts. This traditional method ensures strength, stability, and longevity.
Hand-carved detailing and natural lacquer finishes are applied with care, allowing the wood to breathe and evolve. Over time, each piece develops a unique patina, shaped by light, touch, and daily living.
